Cadet "Adopt-A-High-School" Visits:
Cadet High School Visits are planned for both the Cadet Winter Furlough, as well as Cadet Spring Break. Volunteer cadets will return to their former high schools furnished with recruiting materials and mission guidance. Ideally, Cadets will have the opportunity to give a presentation on The Citadel's brand of leadership with prospective students, JROTC units, etc.. Knob ambassadors have most often been employed in this effort, as they best connect The Citadel with the high school they recently departed.
The fundamental goals include:
- Discussing the Cadet lifestyle.
- Presenting The Citadel's leadership ethos.
- Encouraging student application to The Citadel.
- Building Cadet connection with key high school administrators.
