Academic Coaching / Program Coordinator for Services for Students with Disabilities: Hannah Bromley, M.S.
Ms. Bromley received her M.S. in Psychology, focusing on Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University Global in West Lafayette, IN, and her B.S. in Criminology from Lander University in Greenwood, SC.
Prior to coming to The Citadel, she interned for the Horry and Georgetown County Solicitor’s Juvenile Diversion Program. She played an active role in the juvenile jail diversion program at J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway, SC. She also interned under the lead Clinical Psychologist and Psychiatrist for a program for adolescents associated with South Carolina’s Department of Juvenile Justice and Department of Social Services. Following completing her undergraduate work, she joined Disability Services at Tri-County Technical College. Ms. Bromley worked primarily with the students affiliated with the Clemson University Bridge Program.
Ms. Bromley works directly with the student body to ensure their academic needs are met. She works to get students the necessary resources and teaches them the necessary skills to succeed in their classes and degree programs. Ms. Bromley also works with the Disability Service office, which ensures that students with disabilities are represented and advocated for in their day-to-day life here at The Citadel.

Assistant Director / Services for Students with Disabilities: Shannon McKenzie, M.Ed.
Ms. Shannon McKenzie is the Assistant Director for Services for Students with Disabilities in the Student Success Center (SSC). In this position, she coordinates accessibility to university programs and classes for students with documented disabilities. Ms. McKenzie also serves as a resource to administration, faculty, and staff on disability issues as well as other academic support needs.
Ms. McKenzie holds an M.Ed. in Student Affairs and College Counseling from The Citadel, and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian & East European Studies from the University of Kentucky. Before coming to The Citadel, she served as Assistant Director of the Center for Academic Performance & Persistance at The College of Charleston and Program Coordinator for the Center for Disability Services.
Ms. McKenzie's professional affiliations include the American Counseling Association (ACA), National Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), and the South Carolina Association on Higher Education and Disability (SCAHEAD).

Writing Lab Coordinator: Lindsey Spring, Ph.D.
Dr. Lindsey Spring joined the Student Success Center staff in 2019. In her role as Writing Lab Director, Dr. Spring organizes daily operations and collaborates with students, tutors, and campus partners to build services that lead to student success on all written assignments. Her leadership of the Writing Lab stems from her academic background in composition theory and pedagogy, feminist rhetorical practices, and literacy studies.
Lindsey earned her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from Georgia State University. Prior to her doctoral program, she received a M.Ed. in English Education from Georgia State University and a B.A. in English from Presbyterian College.
In addition to her Writing Lab responsibilities, Dr. Spring teaches a range of general education courses, including first-year writing, business communications, and technical writing.
