How do I qualify for in-state tuition?
Information about SC residency can be found on the SC Commission of Higher Education’s web site at http://www.che.sc.gov/studentservices/residency/residency.htm.
Any student or prospective student who is uncertain concerning entitlement to payment of in-state tuition and fees has the responsibility of securing a ruling from The Citadel by providing all relevant information on special application forms. These forms can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar, Bond Hall, Room 173, or online at http://www.citadel.edu/registrar/forms/ and are to be completed and returned to that office at least four weeks prior to registration for any semester or summer term for which the student is attempting to qualify for payment of in-state tuition and fee rate.
What is the average entrance exam score for accepted students?
Each program has a set of admission requirements and the accepted entrance exam they require. Some programs list the minimum accepted test score in the CGC catalog but some do not. The school takes everything in a student’s application into consideration.

Do you have housing available for graduate students?
Housing is not available for CGC students EXCEPT for students enrolled in summer classes. Students may choose to live in the barracks during the summer. The cost for living in the barracks as well as meal plans can be found on the fees page of the summer school web site.
How do I order a class ring?
All CGC students graduating from degree programs are eligible to purchase a CGC Class ring. CGC students may order their ring upon completion of all but the final two semesters of coursework/internship and must possess an overall 3.0 GPA. To place a class ring order, contact the Alumni Center at: 843-953-7694. The Alumni Center will verify eligibility with the CGC office.
Where can graduate students park on campus?
CGC students who purchase parking tags may park their vehicles in any parking lot on campus after 4pm EXCEPT LOT “B.” Students may part in LOT “B” after 5pm. CGC students requiring access to the campus before 4pm must obtain a temporary parking pass from Parking Services. Parking passes may be purchased in the Office of the Treasurer. After purchasing the parking pass take your receipt from the Office of the Treasurer to the Parking Services office, Richardon 209, to get your parking decal. A parking decal is required to park on campus.
Can I only start in the fall or can I start in other semesters too?
The Citadel Graduate College offers rolling enrollment, which means we accept students every fall, spring and summer semester, with the exception of a few programs. A few of the graduate programs have application deadlines, but for those that do not have specific deadlines, we strongly recommend that all application materials be submitted at least one month prior to the start of classes. FERPA applies to educational agencies and institutions that receive funds under programs administered by the Secretary of Education. (Most financial aid is administered by the Secretary of Education.)
